Fantastic Stories
Published in Hardcover by Chivers North America (September, 1993)
Average review score:

Good Book, very good for little kids or adults.Dear Readers,
I think this book is a very good book. Some of
the stories are similar to some of Terry Jones' other books. Part of
The reason I read this book was because I liked another
book "Nicobobinus" so much.
"Fantastic Stories" was very nicely written and
Terry Jones' humor comes out often in this, along with his
wildly spread and unusual imagination.
Micheal Foreman's illustrations were excellent.
I believe Terry Jones and Micheal Foreman make a good
team. Together, the two individuals have created a very
interesting and wonderful book.
I would recommend it to anyone who loves fairy
tales, especially those with a twist.
sincerely, Michelle Barbara O'Loughlin

The Farming Game
Published in Hardcover by Univ of Nebraska Pr (October, 1982)
Average review score:

Funny, very funny. The characters portrayed here you've either met or after reading you'll wish you had. Jones does an excellent job weaving the trials and tribulations of farming and ranching with the truly unique characters that are found down on the farm. I'd highly recommend it.

Published in Spiral-bound by Center for Applied Research in Education (June, 1993)
Average review score:

Favorite Books Activities Kit by Sue Jones ErlenbuschExcellent book! Great for home schoolers. It covers a wide range of reading levels so it can be used for a number of years and/or by several children of different ages making it economcal both in cost and storage! It's easy to use and fun. The same basic format is used each month but as the context varies the children will not get bored. The choice of books is great too. No taste is left out.

The Fiction of Leroi Jones/Amiri Baraka (The Library of Black America)
Published in Paperback by Chicago Review Press (January, 2000)
Average review score:

The System of Dante's HellI cannot speak for this entire book, but it seems to be the only way to obtain The System of Dante's Hell these days, and this is a truly great book and a must read.
The System of Dante's Hell is a short novel in which a black soldier travels through the American south. Like Dante in hell, Jones/Baraka's tour shows you this hell from the outside, but not really from the outside. Anyway, the book is brilliant.

WONDERFUL!!!Mary Manz Simon is wonderful! My son has all of these books and they are his favorite. The easier level he could read easily in first grade and the second level he could easily read in second grade. I think he likes them for several reasons: they are fun, easy, repetitive, rhyming and familiar Bible stories. These books are great for building reader confidence. When we got the 8 level two books he read them all in 2 days, and asked for more!!!! HIGHLY RECOMENDED!!!
